Reasons why the voting age should be lowered

At 16 you can drive, consent, pay tax, leave home and more...
We pay over
$100 million in income tax every single year.  
16-year-olds are cognitively developed enough to vote.
As voices of the future, we deserve to have our say.
It will strengthen our democracy.
Excluding young people leads to disengagement.
Voting is a fundamental human right.
The current voting age of 18 is a breach of our human rights.
Scotland, Wales, Germany, Austria, and now the UK have lowered their voting age.
We had a bill in place to change the voting age.
It can increase voter turnout.
Civics education and a lower voting age go hand-in-hand.
Age does not determine intelligence or maturity.
Voting at 16 just makes sense!
